There should be more emphasis placed on “loving the skin your in”. Many fail to comprehend that their skin is the largest elimination organ their body houses. Our skin is the 1st barrier of protection!
I also advocate that you need to support your skin nutritionally from the inside out too, however, there are times when topical solutions are a very real and needed thing. When that is the case there is a product that I highly recommend and often reach for and it’s Pau D’Arco Lotion :
- moisturizes & soothes the skin
- is non-greasy
- absorbs fast
- contains NO parabens, fragrances or dyes
- is safety-, allergy- and dermatologist- tested
One of the key ingredients is Tabebuia heptaphylla bark extract which is derived from the pau d’arco tree, which grows in humid climates. Yet somehow this tree does not grow fungus on its bark. Scientists studying the bark have found that it contains lapachol and beta-lapachone, two compounds that help this tree provide important antifungal properties. These compounds are noted for their activity against fungi and microbes. This bark also contains a significant amount of the antioxidant called quercetin.
